This privacy policy sets out how Blueberry uses and protects any information that you provide when you use this website.

We greatly value our privacy, so Blueberry is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Where we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 19th May 2019. 

Please note that If you would prefer to order goods from us directly, please contact us by telephone, social media or email and we will be happy to  fulfil your order in this manner. We are authorised to take card payment by phone, and you can, of course, pay in-store if collecting your order from us.

 1. The Information We Collect

When you register an account or place an order with us, we are provided with the following information about you:

  •     Delivery address
  •     Billing address
  •     E-mail address
  •     Telephone number

We require this information to provide an efficient service and to meet the following purposes, in particular:

  •     Delivery of your purchases
  •     Acknowledging receipt of your order and confirming its acceptance
  •     Updating you on the progress of your order
  •     Notifying you of any issues relating to your purchase e.g. delays in despatching your goods
  •     To verify your identity should we receive a subject access request from you (see section 5.2)
  •     Internal record-keeping and reporting procedures
  •     If you subscribe to our monthly newsletter service, we may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information that we think you may find interesting. You will not be contacted by third parties. You will NOT receive promotional emails unless you opt-in to this subscription.

Please note that this website is hosted by Bigcommerce; when you interact with Blueberry. Bigcommerce use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used on the site and to analyse visitor behaviour through statistics. Other types of cookies on our various platforms and tools which are integral to these systems.
When you purchase through the website, your order and contact information is retained on the BigCommerce servers. These servers are located in Canada and subject to the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018, and EU-US Privacy Shield. As BigCommerce obtains information on a global scale, they may transmit data over a number of borders. 

We retain order details for 3 years, for our financial records.

If you choose to buy via PayPal, your purchase will also be subject to PayPal's Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Your transaction will be logged within our PayPal account for 3 years, for our financial records.
PayPal are subject to European data protection laws and will be subject to the GDPR, effective from 25th May 2018.

2. Sharing Your Details

We may disclose your personal information to any Blueberry service provider (e.g. Royal Mail) or where we are required to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to protect the rights, property or safety of the company and our customers.
This includes but is not limited to exchanging information with BigCommerce and other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection, credit risk reduction and dispute policies.

We will only share information when it is necessary to do so for operational or legal purpose. Only the pertinent information will be shared.

Deliveries sent by Royal Mail are despatched from the Post Office counter - your information is not transmitted electronically.

3. Our Newsletter

Our in-house newsletter is a great way to hear about our forthcoming products and promotions.  We create the newsletter in-house but we use a Omnisend integration for email delivery. Omnisend track the emails they deliver for us and use the data to create reports about how our customers interact with our emails. They may also seek supplemental information in order to personalise their service to us.
Omnisend is based in the EU, but customer Information and personal information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in a country different from your country of residence. Data protection laws in these countries may be different from those of your country of residence.

You are NOT automatically subscribed to the newsletter upon placing an order or creating an account with us – it is an “opt-in” feature so you tell us you wish to subscribe by selecting the newsletter option/signing up online or instore. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any email you receive, changing the setting within the “Newsletter” section of your account or by contacting us directly.   

4. e-commerce Tracking Tools

4.1 Cookies

Cookies are very small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit some websites.
Cookies help identify your computer so a website can tailor a user’s experience, track shopping basket contents and remember where you are in the order process.
The Blueberry website identifies your IP address and tracks your shopping basket contents and checkout progress. Our site software allows us to record some account-holder history. The information available to us serves several functions:

  •     The information enables you to use the “my account” facility, to view and/or edit the personal information you provided when setting up your account in addition to your order/transaction history, wish list, and details of any returns made. Holding an account with us also speeds the checkout process.
  •     We are able to identify our bestselling and most frequently viewed products and the offers that suit our customers best.
  •     We are able to identify areas of our site that require improvement/clarification in order to improve your experience.

We also use Google Analytics to help us improve your experience. Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google. Google utilises the data collected to track and examine the use of, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. Google may use the data collected to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network. Google collects data pertaining to your device and location e.g. IP address, device model. As set out in section 2., we do not share your information with third parties unless it is necessary to do so for operational or legal purpose.

4.2 Social Network Icons

The With Love from Blueberry website uses social networking icons and may sometimes embed video content from websites such as YouTube. If you visit a page with embedded content or access social network pages e.g. Facebook via the relevant icon the website, you may be presented with cookies from these sites. Blueberry has no control over such cookies, and you are therefore advised to check the third-party Privacy Policy for more information.

4.3 Do Not Track and similar features

Many internet browsers offer facilities to ask websites to stop placing cookies on users’ computers.

We take our duty to protect your information very seriously. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place a number of physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

5.2 Access to Your Information

The General Data Protection Regulation legislation gives you the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email us or write to us at 55 The Avenue, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 5BB. You do not need to give your reason for making the request, but it may help us improve the clarity of our communications, or our customer service if you do so.

We must respond to your request within 30 days although we would hope to provide all relevant information within a much shorter timeframe.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

The GDPR introduces a right for individuals to have personal data erased. You can ask us to delete your data from our records verbally or in writing. We then have a maximum of 30 days to do so.
